The Whiskeytown Classic

Monday, September 28th, 2009

JP's Sea Otter Report

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

The race started fast, too fast for a 3 hour race in the hot sun.  The day was very warm and cloudless; unusual for Monterey.  I knew from my days of riding double centuries that the heat would play a big role.  I was reluctant to go too fast at the start, others were not, thus, I was relegated to the middle of the pack.

The Keyesville Recap

Monday, March 16th, 2009

The Keyesville Classic, the first race I ever did, raced beginner and got second place.  Coming back here is like going home, many fond memories.  You could say it is the local Bakersfield race, although it is more than a half hour away, I always think of it that way.  Keyesville is lots of rolling hills, fairly loose in some parts, but overall a really fun course. My Race

Kenda Cup Opener was serious. I was a little late but got there in time to get dressed, get a number and get in line. What a line it was too I had over 30 in age group. Been a while since I had that many to race aside from Sea Otter and Downieville. Tri-Sport had 5 entries and I brought some more big local guns (Ray, Root and Stewart) to show the So Cal guys how we roll up here. This was my first race in my newer faster age group. I ran into… Read More
